Estuary Centers
Juniors and seniors in Mrs. Nichol's AP Biology class created 5 interactive learning centers to teach first graders about estuaries. The York High School students did a wonderful job teaching our class. The centers included: build your own estuary, a touch tank, viewing organisms under a microscope, cleaning up after an oil spill and a food web activity.
Mr. and Mrs. Fish
Jeff and Deb Sandler (Mr. and Mrs. Fish) taught first grade students about coastal Maine sea life and the food chain. More information about Mr. and Mrs. Fish can be found at: http://www.mrandmrsfish.com
Walk to the York Library
We met Mrs. Ring's class at the library to share all of our wonderful writing. After, we enjoyed ice-cream at the Village Scoop.
Great Bay Discovery Center
We learned about horseshoe crabs, estuaries and ecology. For more information on Great Bay visit: http://www.greatbay.org/
